She got to share how her real life friendship with a lady 50 years her senior inspired the core friendship in Soul Connection.

Screen Yorkshire attend Short Film Screening!
In February, we gathered everyone involved in the short film to celebrate what we have achieved so far!
Cast, crew, location sponsors and even industry guests from Screen Yorkshire joined us to celebrate the short film's completion and how this will help us make our feature film.

That's a Wrap... on the short film!
We have finally finished the post production process for Soul Connection's proof of concept short film.

We will be hosting a Northern screening in February to debut the film to industry experts who may wish to get involved with the feature film development.

From The Academy's 'Jonas Gwangwa initiative' to Soul Connection;
Introducing the Feature Film's Composer,
Oleta Haffner
Oleta Haffner was selected to participate in The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences 'Jonas Gwangwa Composition Initiative' in it's maiden year.

Composing the music for Soul Connection's proof of concept marked the second short film collaboration between Haffner and Issey Addy, the Director-Producer of Soul Connection.
​
We couldn't be more thrilled to announce that the pair will collaborate once again on Soul Connection's Feature Film!
Soul Connection secures a new Executive Producer!
​After seeing our short film crowdfunding campaign, Ethan Blakeman, Media Manager at DAZN, reached out to our team to see how he could get involved!​​​
​
Ethan said, "I was drawn to this film because I love the concept and the team's ambition. The fact that the film is set in Yorkshire, with parts filmed in my hometown, was an added bonus. I’m excited to help grow the film and take it to its fullest potential."

After helping us fund the Proof of Concept Short film, Ethan is staying with the team to help see where we can go with the Feature Film!
